Oh nooooooooo, that's an extraterrestrial life form! There have been most basic forms of life on exoplanets in a way we couldn't even imagine. ... The exceptionally low temperatures can preserve cells and nucleic, and this is the first picture of them to be posted in blogland! Bravo, MB, well done, you are a truly craptastic researcher!
That is a GM pine cone from a (frozen) parallel universe that has slipped down a worm hole and landed in your neck of the woods. God knows what you might get if you plant it... Triffid cones, perhaps. Exceptional photographic work to capture it, though.
What a wonderful, wonderful blog. I laughed so hard I nearly split my sides. I've enjoyed looking at the photos - especially that one of half an animal! I would never win an award for best blog but I reckon I'd be in the running for "Crappy Photo of the Year"! Cheers. Melbourne Daily Photo

Very funny. Most people like to show something beautiful, you show crap. Hilarious concept. I like the crappy cow a lot.
Your photos aren't crappy....... They are profoundly bokeh!
Happy 2010 to you. Keep on snapping.
